The mixed invitation (formally the BASF) started in 1980 and has been one of the most sought after invitations in the curling circuit. During this time there has only been one cancellation due to heavy snowfall, however, covid came along and caused a further two non-playing years. Teams from as far as Tain, Wales and Russia have enjoyed weekends of curling and fellowship at this event. With visiting teams and local teams playing their games over three days and still having time for a very sociable weekend.
